Four free Travel XRay packages worth £10,000 each are to be awarded to the worthiest nominations for “most unappreciated” destinations
in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Each will receive:
- A complimentary profile highlighting the most profitable market segments to target
- An e-mailshot to 50,000 “matching” individuals
- Four months feature space on CD-Traveller
Applications of no more than 1000 words should explain why you think your destination is “undervisited” and what you consider to be your most appealing attributes!
Include any supporting material demonstrating the efforts you have made to attract visitors.
Rules, Terms and Conditions
- The awards are open to any tourist destination in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. A destination is defined as a city, village, county or area of those countries.
- There will be one award to the value of £10,000 for each country.
- Each award will consist of the following:
- a Travel Xray profile of the market for the destination winner either based on the the data held by the winning destination or held by CD-Traveller
- a newsletter designed and edited by CD-Traveller containing stories and containing information and data submitted by the winning destination. This
newsletter will be uploaded and remain on the CD-Traveller website for 4 (four months). During the 4 month period, the material in the newsletter can be
updated as often as the winning destination wishes.
- CD-traveller will carry some Home Page copy and links to each of the newsletters of the four winners.
- based on the Travel XRay profile and in consultation with the winners, 50,000 names will be selected from the CD-Traveller readership and these will be
e-mailed at a time at the choosing of each of the winners with either the newsletter or a promotion piece created by each of the winners provided that
such promotion is acceptable to CD-Traveller.
- To enter, each destination must submit up to 1000 words explaining why they feel that they consider their destination to be “most unappreciated”
“underrated” or “under visited”. In addition, destinations may submit supporting information if they so wish but such information will
not improve or detract from the main submission.
- The closing time for submissions will be 6pm 15th December 2009. The submission may be either e-mailed to info@travelxray.com or posted to
Travel XRay,

- The winners will be announced on 24th December.
- The winners will be decided by a panel of judges and their decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The winners agree that their names may be used for promotional purposes
